Jet Setting Adventures to Come

I got a ticket to Paris yesterday. I don’t know if you’ve looked at airfares lately but it basically cost me my life savings. Was going to stop in NYC on my way out and back, but I’ll wait and do that when the bossie is out of town instead. I’ve got pals in Paris with a place for me to sleep and a side trip to Amsterdam with 6 or 7 others for the weekend all worked out. Plus a day trip with my Ams pal Jeroen who has visited me several times on his many trips to the US. I’ve been to Ireland, but not to anywhere else in Europe, so it is very exciting. I’m sure you’re all very excited. All two of you who read this.

Allison,

What do you mean? "All two of you who read this." Thousands of people track your blogospheric trajectory.
For my part, I always wish that you would finally find some sort of fulfilling happiness, because of the Dorothy Parker poetry that you've posted. Please take yourself more seriously.

I put those Dorothy Parker poems up 10 years ago, back when I used to take myself seriously. Don't be ridiculous, I won't make that mistake again too soon.

What makes you think I'm not happy?

What makes you think I'm not happy?

What makes you think you are?

What makes me think that I am? 35 years of subjective emotional experience coupled with 35 years of objective (mostly) observation of the emotional experience of others.
